Past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover what practitioners believe are memories of past lives. It is thought that, by exploring these past lives, a hypnotherapist can help you to uncover personal stories that help to explain who you are now. The hope is that you may discover a root cause of an issue from a previous life, which is affecting you in your current life.

What is Past Life Regression?
In Hypnotherapy, as well as Counselling, it is commonplace to re-visit past memories and experiences. In doing so, it is then possible to alter and change the perceptions, influences and effects of the past.
However, when Hypnotherapists seek the earliest memories, clients may sometimes remember something of being in the womb. More so, many clients relate even earlier memories.
Memories of a much earlier time or times. Apparently memories of earlier lives. So, based on the theory that your reactions and the way you respond to problems are based in the past, past life regression is an holistic therapy that works with a person as a whole - not only the body and mind, but your emotions and spirit too.
Whilst conventional counselling typically focuses on the present life, in some cases, an issue seems not to have a direct cause, so the client and therapist may be unable to uncover the ‘source’ of the problem. Utilising regression therapy enables the client to unlock emotions and experiences stored deep within their memory.
What Is The Purpose Of This Type Of Hypnotherapy?
Some people hope to try past life regression simply out of curiosity, to see who they were in the past. But for most, it’s a path for personal growth and healing. To gain the most from the session, it is important to have specific ‘intentions’.
Areas of interest may include:
•relationship issues (including inexplicable attraction/aversion to someone)
•vivid dreams or recurring nightmares
•fears or phobias that have no apparent cause e.g. fear of death
•déjà vu experiences
•feeling stuck in life
By examining the experiences that are thought to have first signalled the problem, practitioners may help connect their client’s current issues to a past life connections to be made, and finally providing you with some explanation, or a sense of internal peace, and facilitating your journey of personal growth.
The important thing to remember is that you are a unique individual with a unique history, so your experience of past life regression therapy will be equally unique.
It is normal to feel unsure about where your memories will have come from, or wonder if you have made them up. But, as you become more comfortable with the process, these doubts will often fade.
Is This Approach Right For Me?
Regression therapy, like many types of complementary therapy, is not for everyone.
Past life regression is often linked to reincarnation. There have been claims that a belief (or at least an openness) in the existence of reincarnation is the greatest predictor of reporting memories of past lives. On the other hand, it is thought that sceptics or disbelievers are less likely to report such memories.

Hypnosis is not sleep but a trance like state in which you are fully aware of what is going on around you and are able to respond to requests either verbally or by some other signal.
A trance state is achieved by deep relaxation of both the mind and the body using guided concentration. When this is achieved the boundary between the conscious and the unconscious minds begins to blur and then the unconscious becomes open to receiving new messages. This enables you to look at deep rooted issues such as phobias, fears and habits - and let them go.
Hypnotherapy is a relatively quick form of therapy compared to other forms of psychological help or counselling. Many forms of counselling or CBT work can take upwards of 8 to 12 sessions whilst an average client undertaking sessions at our clinics is likely to be with us for between 3 to 6 sessions.
Our work can help you to explore the root cause of your problem which is generally not possible with other therapies because at our clinics we work with the subconscious mind. The subconscious is something that we are not aware of on a day to day basis yet it can control your habits, behaviour, and mood. By getting you in to a very deep state of relaxation we are able to access that part of your mind so that we can understand exactly where your problem stems and work with you to make positive changes.
When you work with a clinical hypnotherapist there will be no point where you will be out of control or made to do anything that you don’t feel comfortable with. During our sessions we spend a significant time with you explaining how our methods work as well as dispelling the myths surrounding Stage Hypnosis. Our therapy sessions are safe, natural and relaxing and allow you to remain in control at all times. They are also very powerful and can help you to achieve life-changing results in a very short time frame. Fears and Phobias
Fears & Phobias are often created when you are a child. The instance may be minor, but when it happens again and again it becomes more intense and creates a phobia. A phobia is something that can cause rapid heartbeat, sweaty palms, and the feeling of not being able to move your limbs. When removing a phobia, I may designs a program of 3 hypnotherapy sessions.
Relieving anxiety and stress
Anxiety and stress can vary from mild to extremely serious and causes many different physical symptoms such as panic attacks, headaches, stomach problems, insomnia, heart problems and illness.
Our anxiety and stress relief hypnotherapy is designed to give you back control.
Depression can be the result of one event or a build-up of different emotions such as low self-esteem, lack of confidence, social anxiety and so on.
Your hypnotherapy treatment for depression will find the root cause or causes or your condition. I will then use your mind’s own therapeutic process to get rid of the emotions that are causing the problem.
